1. Has anyone heard of Asset Services grading?

   Any knowledge on this? I’ve not encountered one before, the coin itself is really nice and i am going to send to PCGS for grading, but would like to make sure before i do so that i’m not ruining a valuable holder.

   @Smudge Yes sealed with a heat strip, and the half is in a Cointain as well

   Asset Services Inc was not, technically, a grading company. It was a coin dealership, specializing in selling "portfolios" of coins to numismatically ignorant investors. Their grade is therefore a "first party grading" - the people doing the grading are also doing the selling. Today, we might call such a group a "basement…

   No - Have seen many wannabe grading services come and go.

   I think it's cool in the old time flip. If it is accurately graded, I'd leave it and try to sell it somewhere near 65 money.

   Looks like it is sealed in there. Hard to tell for sure.

   I think there is a good chance that one of us holder collectors would pay more for it in that flip vs in a ubiquitous PCGS holder. It seems that I recall seeing one of those in the past somewhere, I just don't recall the details off hand.
