Also, I am not nearly as impressed with Brett hitting .390 in '80 since he missed 45 games that season. IMO, Carew hitting .388 in '77 is more impressive since he only missed 7. I would think that you would feel the same way if you are looking at the totality of things. I am fairly sure you have a work-around on that one… -

You are giving primarily opinions and I am giving facts. I could simply argue that there were lower runs scored because the hitters weren't as good, which would be my opinion.
