I think tv revenues have flattened out , ESPN is collapsing . Cord cutters , people angry with ESPN political garbage , etc. I was the first person in my small circle to dump cable or satellite , now there are quite a few who refuse to pay 200 bucks a month for TV. Peyton sucked and was replaced (part injury/part terrible performance) for part of the season in his final year only to come back and basically not mess up the brilliant defensive performances. It worked. But he was done. As a Giant fan, I feel bad for Eli Manning - no Tate and no Shepherd and no clue from the head coach.… -

The best ever football hit I ever enjoyed was a $300 free play payout at a casino. Free entry. You had to pick the most winners straight up from the pool of entries. Won it one week, by luck. And it was pure luck. I called all the NFL coaches that week for some inside info. My calls were never returned. :) -

Picking the winner/loser of a game is not that hard, but covering the spread is where you lose your A$$. Back when I was still working we had a thing in our office where you put in $5 and got a sheet with all the games listed. There were usually 30 or so played so the pot was usually around $150. I read one time years ago, and I would have to believe that it's basically still true, that against the spread in the NFL, the favorite won 49.9 percent of the time, and the dog won 50.1 percent of the time. So if anyone believes they can make money against a bookie with a payoff of 100% if you win, but a payment of 110%… -

High end QBs only come along once in a great while, Brady and Ben with the Steelers have been around for a long time, Brees was drafted by someone else, Luck retired early. The list of guys that were drafted and became good to great is pretty short. Rodgers is an exception in that the Packers got him when they had a HOF… -
