Using pine gear in hitting area of a bat would cause an unusual reaction in the ball in that it changes the grip of the ball and makes it harder to throw and/or causes dirt, etc, to stick to it. I… -

Let's discuss defense for just a second. Is there anyone out there who truly thinks that because Brett managed to play 39 2/3 innings at shortstop over his 2200 career games means he's incredibly defensively versatile? @dallasactuary I should have been clearer as mine was not a 'get you to think' post as much as an actual question. I do respect your opinion and intelligence and these two guys being compared got me wondering if there is an actual tipping point, all things being equal. And I am well aware that other factors come into play…
