Re: Confussed:???????

If you are only interested in lower grade i.e. cheaper coins then RAW coins are not the much of a loss if you don't keep making the same mistake. You can learn to block out the scammers on eBay real quick, but there are also a lot of good dealers there too. If you want to get into the more expensive coins then. I would and… -
Re: How should I sell a large number of slabs?
Yeah topstuf, feel free to copy, reprint, gaveaway, sell or whatever you can get from it. Heehe It's funny but kinda true too. And thanks for the added tips & comments. And here's a workaround for the 15 PMs I got calling me an idiot and saying that airplanenut might get a negative feedback if he did all that: #7 feedback:… -
Re: I Feel Like Starting Some Crap Tonight If You Are in TR Please read. POLL!!!

<< <i>Yes everyone This is Coming from Traders Retreat Model Council Leader JErik20 And They wouldnt Let me in Because I messed with people well TR Might need to look at Erik >> Not true Mike. Re: WHICH COULD YOU DO WITHOUT CARDSHOP?OR EBAY?
I'd have to say Oldschool cardshops. These are a dying breed and they still refuse to admit that graded cards are here to stay and are profitable. They rather have a raw card in their case that is 8 material and claim it is Gem Mint. These are the guys that we can do without. I think shops and ebay both serve their purpose… -
Re: I'm starting to get a little ticked
A top powerseller on ebay means absolutely NOTHING, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH Couldn't disagree more. Some of your biggest powersellers on ebay are powerSCAMMERS Couldn't agree more, if you replaced "some" with "very few". It can be both. Being a powerseller means you do a hell of a lot of successful, honest business with many… -
Re: Ebay feedback...just how important?

I have a mere 500 or so feedback @ 100% thus far. At one time, I used to be very SELF-CONSCIOUS about feedback. Not any more! If I do something that's worthy of a neg., GIVE IT TO ME. If not, and some buttcrunch decides to neg me before emailing me to straighten out whatever it is that pisses'em off; oh well, I guess I'll… -
Re: Lelands = Lousy Service
To me, auction houses are really only for big ticket items, say $1,000 or more, where good marketing is essential. Anything under $1,000 is best suited for Ebay, as marketing is less of a factor. Plus, auction houses, good ones at least, add a tremendous amount of credibility to an item. You know that at least one… -
Re: Ebay Fraud
Bob, if a flea market operator were promoting a con-artist vendor that was selling fake coins, turning a blind eye to the transactions all for the sake of profit, I certainly would hold him accountable. Is'nt this exactly what's going on in the Trade Dollar section (and many others) on Ebay? I agree that it would be… -
Re: Ethics Scenerio. UPDATED With a TWIST!
I think anytime I am in a coin shop I m looking for something the dealer missed...that doesn't make me a scammer, it just makes me a smart shopper. Wasn't it MadMarty that found that 93-S Morgan at the pawn shop? Maybe I didn't hear the whole story, but I thought he paid like $20 for it or something? Score for him! If you… -
Re: Should "Fakes" be Holdered?
. i'm not pushing for them to be any more than they are but i'll accept if they start doing it more BUT i just wanted to comment that the odds of taking some of them out of holders to trick someone else would be prohibited by the value for the collectable type as it is so high, that there isn't too much a scammer could use…
