Re: More Ebay Shenanigans........
"Buying limit"??? Never heard of it. Doesn't smell right... in fact it stinks like yesterday's diapers. Are you sure it's coming from Ebay proper, and that you weren't redirected to some scammer's page? I hope you didn't log in... Was this an email you received, a message, or a login prompt? I think you've been scammed. -
Re: OH COME ON!!!
Oh no, don't call the cops! It was a pity sale for a woman with an emergency and kids. "think about the children". I don't believe this stuff; my heart has been hardened from these scammers. LOL. The only thing missing is the one that looks like a giant fake washington quarter with an 18something date. Well, maybe not the… -
Re: Here's an odd question about Lincoln cents...
all proof Lincolns after 1968 inclusive Have S mintmarks. all circulation strikes made in philidelphia DO NOT HAVE mint marks. scammers often will try to sell a 1990 circulation strike as a "NO S" proof and doctor it by polishing it to a high shine. never been a "P" mint mark on any Lincoln cent...ever. -
Re: New eBay Feedback - improved??
I agree with storm. Just more ammunition for the morons to screw with sellers. If ebay were truly concerned about its members, it would get rid of scammers like overtimecards who have been ripping off buyers for years now with homemade packs. But no, that would just cut into the bottom line (listing & FVFs). What a crock! -
Re: Ebay Second Offer ripoffs
The amount of bogus "Second Chance" offers has gotten so bad that put a note in my auction descriptions that states that I don't make second chance offers, and that any received on my auctions should be ignored and/or reported to eBay. I don't want bidders honked off at me for something some scammer tries. -

Re: About that 70dcam lincoln at FUN

OK $350 Million is not chump change to most folks. If PCGS/NGC/ANACS/PGS were non-existant, a high percentage of the $350 Million dollars of collector's money would have gone to coin doctors, wizzards, cleaners, scammers, etc, etc.... Plus, we wouldn't have the benefit of this PCGS forum around to even discuss this. -
Re: Don't fall for this one
<< <i>I make up names such as IHATESCAMMERS and similar emails and enter them for their viewing pleasure. >> I was tempted to do the same, but I worry that they will see my email address as a real one and send more scams. Of course, I could always open another email address somewhere and use that to bust scammers. Might be… -
Re: Need help identifying an old tobacco card (edit: my dealer got duped)
Scammers are getting lazy if they're just taking reproductions and erasing the word "reprint" on the back. No attempts to make it look almost a century old? No blunting the corners? No rubbing it in dirt? No other paper damage to camouflage the erasure? Sheesh. Maybe they knew the 70-year-old can't see too well and thus… -
Re: Funny Mantle Scam - It passes the light test!
Haha... the light test... my guide has become a pathetic scammers cheat sheet. It is amazing how many people have bought it and then turned to crime after reading it. I'd say at least 15 of the people who have purchased the guide since I began it nearly a year ago have gone on to list fakes afterwards.
