Gold, Platinum and Silver Coins - Toning, Hazing and Spotting
A few questions for the wise collectors on this forum: Are there issues with US Mint Gold coins such as toning or hazing that is becoming common? I have recently purchased the 5 oz Silver ATB pucks. At one time I had a proof silver coin with a milk spot, I took my white pearl eraser and removed the spot. It worked fine. -

With the milk spots and black specks, I would say MS67/68. Its just worth the bullion value and a small premium as ASE are selling above spot. -

I went fri, enjoyed going as it was a straight shot down I95. Although, moderate to heavy rain all the way till about 30 miles from savannah. Beautiful convention center and view on the river bank. The biggest problem that should concern you with Silver Eagles is milk spotting. Buy a coin and it spots and you have a piece of silver bullion, all premium is lost. -

Look at this accented hair Kennedy. I agree with the guy that it might be a DCAM without the spot. Can "milk" spots be removed with MS70 of some other chemical? null -

Look up Milk Spots under search. And yes copper with spots is hard to belive in MS67RD. Makes you wonder if something better than sonic sealing is needed.
