Re: This needs reported: Isn't this a proof 1921 Peace Dollar? 1 day auction
<<If he was a true scammer he would except the high bids.>> That is curious. However, even though he didn't accept the bids, I consider him a scammer. He is using images from coinfacts.com and in one of his listings he states " THE ONE PICTURED IS THE ONE YOU WILL RECEIVE". His Ebay contact phone number is no good either,… -
Re: I won this coin on ebay, but the same coin is for sale by another guy
Don't know either seller, but I would hold off sending any more money before knowing the truth. In my opinion, one of the two is a scammer. You might ask each for the orginal photo that was uploaded to e-bay. The scammer will be unable to produce anything but the e-bay photo. Editted to add: Of course if what Bayard says… -
Re: Another hilarious auction
If you're gonna be a scammer on ebay, you should at least learn how to do it correctly. He's got stolen scans of obvious reprints mixed in with stolen scans of a few real cards. Too lazy to even find stolen scans of real cards? Geez...I give this guy an F as a scammer. And if I was a judge...I'd also give him some jail… -
Re: How to fight off a not as described ebay claim on a NGC coin?
If the seller accepts a return, does that mean that the buyer (who now does not own the coin any longer, can leave feedback? If so, it is wrong. who carries the responsibility of the return shipment? (not the cost of it) And: is there any way to start a black list on the forum of scammers? Our host could?? have an interest… -
Re: 1952 Mickey Mantle "PSA 8" on ebay
He is one or both of these: 1) Scammer selling a fake Mantle 2) Total moron I lean towards both. If it is legit -- and would grade PSA 4-5 -- having it graded would make it worth quite a lot and obviously would need to be done. I see sports card scammers --they're everywhere. And their favorite hangout is eBAY. -
Re: A New Record For 91 Archives Mantle ?

I guess if I don't care for a "collector" who bids on auctions they don't even read makes me elitest, I'm elitest. Just like everyone else, I'm against scammers, but at the same time, if a scammer sells some idiot the Brooklyn Bridge, the buyer of the damn bridge deserves to have his money taken from him! -
Re: Here's one to block.
This idiot sounds like a scammer. In my view, scammers, especially ones who commit numismatic fraud up on FleaBay,are lowlifes.Does anyone still remember that it was next to impossible to get Pamela Donnelly (a.k.a. the Savannah Scammer) banned from FleaBay? She ended up get her butt busted off Overstock a long time ago.… -

<< <i> << <i>READ THIS LINK AND LEARN THE FACTS ABOUT "DEFACING" COINS. Nobody (very few people, any way) ever seems to know the rules on this, even though the topic comes up regularly. >> That link has misleading information. If you deface a coin, it is still legal tender - so long as the original form is still generally…
