Re: Well, at least Marty doesn't get them all!

<< <i>Grade opinions ? >> I'm thinking about sending them to NGC, so they're both PR69UCAM. The Frankie is no question DCAM on the obverse, with the reverse being right on the cusp. It has a couple small milk spots. As is, either 66DCAM or 67CAM. The Kennedy is a nice 68CAM that could on a lucky day go DCAM. Russ, NCNE -
Re: Wouldn't you like PCGS to offer a meaningful AUTHENTICITY guarantee?
I have taken advantage of thier gurantee several times and they made it right every time. No complaints at all. The only issue is it usually takes a month or so to see any results. For me what happed is that silver coins sometimes go bad with milk spots or AT after they are slabbed. They take care of it without questions. -
Re: Thinking of selling all my ASE stuff
What you have are common, but popular, modern coins that are dependent on the plastic for their value. If the dreaded milk spots should start to appear the liquidity of your coins will drop sharply. Take your profit and move on to some pre-1934 numismatic coins that are not dependent on the plastic for their value. When… -

Re: The proper way to act on the Coin Forum
With respect to number three. I'm not certain I know how to clean up milk spots. Perhaps we need to dig deeper on this one. You forgot about the part where one always salutes a member entering the forum with a higher posting count. Formalities of rank are important for the corps to function correctly. -

Re: Sometimes this hobby cracks me up as do some collectors.. AGE vs ASE.

<< <i> << <i>but PCGS-70 08/07s are pretty scarce. . . Just a thought. >> Exactly...with only 169 graded FS 70 ... (10% of the total FS) >> I sure don't expect AGE's to get milk spots.. I know and have heard multi ASE's are getting spots, this could be the low pop cause. Also one other thing, many people don't submit a ASE… -
Re: POLL Is buying gold and silver for way under melt a crime?
Now that the forum is creating federal legislation on coin crime, I have a few points. Dealer A is in the big city. He/she buys bullion for spot and sells for 5% over spot. No crime here, right? Dealer B is in a smaller city, but big enough. He/she buys bullion for 5% under spot and sells for 10% over spot. Possible crime…
