Thank you for the research Realeswatcher! I'm starting to look at the Bob's site in South Africa.Baldwins that you mention is intersting as well as ACSearch. There were 4 of these in the 45 sets on NGC for 2 1/2 Shillings. Do you have any other names that you search for this type of item? Thank you, Ken -
Toned Gold 1907 $2 1/2
Just picked this one up yesterday.. it's one of my favorites so far. I did not have much time, so only got reverse shots. Obverse has a little toning, but not as much. -

How scarce is this coin? I just heard from a reliable source that a hoard of over 1000 coins of this date has been purchased raw by a Pennsylvania dealer and now subsequently slabbed 64, 65 , 66. -

Talked with him for years on the forum(s). Met him in person at local shows. Went to his shop as well. Front of shop was sparse but clean. Computer stuff (a couple video cards, etc). He would build computers for clients but main (non-coin business) was computer support for people/small businesses. Back of shop, door behind… -
