Re: 1926 $20 PCGS MS-63 (now on ebay)
RYK, nice 63+ Saint. I'd have paid $535 for that per the scan. A touch more if it was a shot 64 coin ($550). Did not see anything saying this was for sale before ebay. Should do well on ebay though. But after giving up several % in fees might have done better selling outright. Some of those are now going for $575 and up… -

Re: I just think this is kind of cool . . .
The work he put into the listing definitely paid off, as well as, the allure of getting an entire player set in one shot. The seller ended up getting 88% of SMR for the lot before shipping and insurance. Year SMR 1954 535 1955 175 1956 260 1957 100 1958 100 1959 45 -- This was an 8oc so I used the SMR for a 6 1960 60… -

Re: Official 1971 Topps Baseball Discussion Thread
It is interesting to see the Raymond card up for auction along with the Curt Flood, which is 1 number away from the Raymond card (#535 and #536). Flood is a very easy card to find centered and in high grade while Raymond is almost impossible. Even the current example is not centered all that well. As I said earlier that… -
Re: Just got the last $20 gold I needed. Type 1
Charles, If I can offer a bit of advice on the motto saint, you could buy a common date from the 1920s, and that would be fine. However, I would advise against this, and instead encourage you to buy a pre 1920 coin as they are much more desireable and marketable, but do not cost a great deal more. For example, right now… -
Re: golf card values ...
I believe the values for the 1981 set will continue to go down, because there seems to be a lot of unopened/ungraded material still around. The production numbers were a lot lower on the 1982 set, so it will probably have the best chance of increasing/holding its value in the long term. There have already been 1,807 (535 –… -
Re: Seeking Raw 73, 76, 77: Will trade or buy - listed
JSK, I have the following 1973 for you: 68,72,139,143,168,177,194,388,415,425,437,463,541,555 and 657. Additionally, I think I have the 449B as well and possibly the Gossage. Have to double check. Almost all of the cards are ex-mt with many NM or better though one or two may be lesser. These are all cards I purchased as a… -
Re: SMR - Fact or Fiction?
Here's one approach that SGC took. In their online priceguide they list the 1967 Rico Petrocelli card in NM/MT at $145. ( I bought my well centered PSA 8 for $40something ...but whose counting) Anyways, they list some representative auction results below the guide: eBay results: SGC-88 Clendenon #535 $90, SGC-96…
