Re: Forum member inflation report.
Today's shopping run: Chicken in stock (substituted) and $6 more than usual for 5lbs. Canned and marinated mushrooms and olives are scarce. None this time around. 2lbs of bacon $3 more, first time in months.. would have paid $10/lb if they asked. Canned meat, spices, and stews have been spotty. All of these items are more… -
Re: Is this the time when coin collectors should be......
The economy is definately in the beginnings of a recovery. What this means for precious metals, I can't guess. For $10 TRILLION+ we definitely should have bought a temporary recovery. To say that we've fixed the infrastructure that got us here (derivatives) by resolving about 15% of them may be wishful thinking. Let's get… -

Re: Alert: I’m officially calling a top in GOLD, on 7/30/2020. $1972.00
Some gold eagles on Ebay are selling for the same price as they were when it was 2100. Those pricetags seem to have stuck for a lot of things. As gold dropped $200, maples climbed even higher. When silver stagnated Australian silver skyrocketed. Proofs have exploded and krugerrands are disappearing. Be ready to pay.… -
Is it a quarterback's job to mentor his replacement?

Ryan Tannehill has set off a firestorm debate with his comments yesterday about Malik Willis, the quarterback drafted by the Titans to replace him. Speaking to the media yesterday, Ryan Tannehill said that it's "not his job" to mentor Malik Willis. Now, former NFL players are speaking out about it. Ryan Tannehill's Malik… -
August's inexpensive world coin list (really just the remnants of July's mile-long list- still quite
The August list is really just the remnants of the mile-long July list, fit into one post this time! Shipping & handling: Just guesstimate and add what you consider a reasonable amount. A buck or two ought to do it, unless you want insurance (which is a waste of money on orders less than fifty bucks, in my opinion). If you… -
Re: John Pack At Bowers & Merena Still Doing His Job
There seems to be an awful lot of anger regarding "well-heeled" buyers/sellers on this board lately. Perhaps it's based on envy, perhaps on actual bad experiences. All I know is - were I to suddenly become well-heeled - I would very likely indulge myself with some of the finest coins around. Given enough $, Adrian and his… -

"A consolation prize, part 2"

This thread is about a two-part acquisition, the first being the NGN $5 I wrote about previously. Moffatt coinage has a fascinating story, and out of all the privately minted gold, Moffatt & Co enjoyed the most prestigious reputation based on official assays performed in Philadelphia. For some reason, the 1853 $20 is…
