Has a FB rating of 34, with only 2 of them from buyers of Xboxes. Gullible newb seller or scammer ? Apparently the jig is up on the 1885-CC - no bids with same time remaining as on the 'bogus '93-S. Both reported as undisclosed replicas and as counterfeits. -

Look carefully at his "8". The serial numbers all are cut and pasted in - there is a small area around each where the color doesn't match the rest of the slab. It's a not-so-hot photoshop job. It's scary that scammers are this willing to come onto this message board. Nick -

I got the same one but it was for dog toys. Now, if I actually sold dog toys, I might have been fooled. I was very close to clicking on it. I'll be this one gets more people to bite than the others. Damn scammers. : -

I'm glad that eBay removed it. I emailed the seller earlier and informed him that I was reporting it and I got the usual "i know nothing about baseball" and "if you don't like it, don't bid" song & dance reply that most scammers use. -

envoy- I think the scan is real for sure but I would advise him to check the card when he gets it to verify the print dot on the shoulder. If the scammers are getting smarter they will scan a REAL CARD and then send a fake. What do you thinnk? -

Don't laugh People pay good money for stuff in online games. Most bidders on this kind of stuff haven't bought much if anything before, but I'm still wary of scammers. Is there any way this guy could pull back his payment? Joe -

$17K for a PSA 7 52 Mantle would be a steal, but given the picks, the flip, and the cracks, this is very likely a scam. A legit 7 goes for much more than $17K. Probably somewhere in the $30-40K range, but then scammers love to sell things at a "discount"
