Question: Which grading company do you prefer? I know a lot of people say BGS or PSA because they are well known and "trust worthy". But I see that there's a new grading company call HGA. What do you think about them? -

There's a couple new guys: CSG and HGA I'm thinking of trying CSG since I have a few items graded by NGC, PMG, and CGC (Coins, Currency, Comics) -

None of this looks like they are making any kind of dent in the giant backlog. Thus far between the price increases, backlog, no real progress and what looks to be a lot harder grading on pre Ultra Modern, I don't see one way they are preserving their perceived leadership in the industry. it was a 1968 IGA Yvan Cournoyer card that was in the master set,i sent an email to the manager and it was corrected,i now think that the problem started when a card from the Jean Beliveau master set was removed because the photos of the two cards a labelled 1967 and 1968 IGA were the same so PSA removed the 1968 card… -

Just from reading the grading threads over on BO over the past year plus,I think a lot of the newer people in the hobby who went with SGC a year ago would now rather go with HGA or CSG when it’s not PSA or BGS. -

Above is an authentic 1963 Bazooka Mays. Authentic 1963 bazooka's have dashes where the spacing and length is at random intervals around the cards. Anyone know anything about IGA? Edited: Link Added.
I know they were around in the 1980's and graded coins simmilar to the Anacs photo certifcate format. How were their grading standards? JJ Here is one of their coins with photo cert. Based on the photo, the coin looks properly graded, and I would say the Obverse is a 64 not a 63. IGA coin grading.
