Much of the difference here is mere semantics. Certainly when speaking of iron or zinc rusting it is in reference to a specific chemical reaction caused by oxidation and this would not normally occur with a silver coin. Just arrived.....Carson City rusted dies!
Very please with my ebay purchase at under $100. Both the obverse and reverse die were rusted. Wow, coin just arrived and it's bright white with just the slightest rubs. Rusting is VERY evident. These are sellers pics: bob Oh, yeah, Anacs AU50 in a new holder. -

I don't love the shape of the date, the nose and mouth look off, and the bottom of the hair behind the ear is very hard to see.
