Re: Consistency in the registry - basic vs variation
BJ-- EXACTLY--THAT WOULD BE A GREAT HELP. CASE IN POINT- MY TOTAL FOR THE 53 TOPPS IS 651 NOT 649-- THIS LETS ME KNOW THAT MY SPREADSHEET FOR THE WEIGHTS HAS A 2 WEIGHT ERROR. MY CURRENT PARAMETERS FOR THE 69T SET IS 687 WEIGHTS (#CARDS) WITH A SET RATING DENOMINATOR (SUM OF THE WEIGHTS) AT 903.5----I WOULD LIKE TO CONFIRM… -
Re: Question about fair pricing
Below are greysheet bid prices. I get $651. I think a dealer would offer less than bid. They only list G, F and so on, no number grades. $ 38 in F -- Buffalo Nickels 1913 S F-12 Type I $115 in F -- Buffalo Nickels 1913 D F-15 Type II $ 11 in G -- Buffalo Nickels 1914 D G-4 $ 25 in VG -- Buffalo Nickels 1914 S VG-8 $ 44 in… -

Re: Pattern coins
Boiler has some awesome patterns and has always been more than generous in providing me with various items I've requested. Also, thank you to everyone who posted such kind words about me. Too kind. I love patterns and love to talk, a dangerous combination. I hope everyone will drop by Table 651 at Long Beach to see my… -
Re: LB Show Recap
"2) I may have to move into moderns. Yesterday, someone came to my table asking for me. When I said I was Rick, he said someone had said he would find state quarters "at Rick Kay's table, #651." I laughed, and then I cried." Probably my customer from when I showcased state quarters at your table a few Long Beach shows ago.… -
Re: 1978 Topps baseball collectors
Since my sample test did better than expected, I went through and checked off the 10's with no pops. Out of the 69 cards with none, i believe 14 of mine have that shot at a 10. Spent the last hour going over them just like i did on this last batch. The following going in will be #'s 148(Thornton)--a 9 just sold over $100… -
Re: MS69 LA Quarter. Thanks Mitch.
Mark: Enjoy it I expect to have another LA(p) in PCGS-MS69 on display at Long Beach (Table 651). They are a real challenge to locate this nice and the grading team at PCGS, overall, does a sensational job at CONSISTENTLY grading these coins. No question, for most collectors, an MS68 LA coin will suffice, especially a "PQ"… -
