Re: Paypal found in my favor, but no money to collect.....
From what I understand Paypal won't do the buyer protection thing unless you press for it. This is how it is supposed to work. 1.......you file claim with PP if they find in your favor they take money from loser. 2......If no money can be had from loser Buyer protection kicks in (in various degrees) 200.00 up to 2000.00… -
Re: Opinions on this Mantle ball
<< <i>The bottom line is there are enough people out there, who through innate skills which I certainly don't have, can look at something like an autograph and copy it to a tee quite easily, and with some practice can write it basically perfectly. Fortunately most of these type of people are honest, but the ones who aren't… -
Re: The Fun with E-bay just never ends !!!!!!!!
<< <i>They obviously have no clue about buying/selling sportscards. What we all have to keep in mind is that sportscards are what....1% of Ebay's total auctions?? So why would they take the time to care? >> It is not just sportscards. Read some of the different eBay forums. You will see that this problem exists to varying… -
Re: OT-Is Paypal holding payments for Wii consoles?
PP will hold the payment. If you list them, use "Immediate Payment Required." Super-High fraud item; scammers from Europe/Africa; and, teenagers with broken units that they will return to you when they get your new one. Record the serial number, put a seller's mark on the case, and cover the screwheads with wax or… -
Re: Anyone using a Canon XTI with Macro lens here?

Either the 100mm or 60mm will be satisfactory, though the 60mm is significantly lighter and will more easily cover wider angles like Jerry's looking for. Both lenses will get you the same level of close-up magnification. For the best real-world (not scammer) pricing, go to bhphotovideo.com and look them up: you can get the… -
Re: Need help with an ebay dilemma
There is an article in this weeks Coin World regarding this scam. The large discrepancy in price between the two sets, $70 to $90 for the clad - $275 to $350 for the silver, and the ease with which the Mint packaging can be opened, is causing it to be rather prevalent. Evidently online auctions are the main source. The… -
Re: OT: eBay buyer wants to pay via acct transfer?

<< <i>If he doesn't follow the auction rules as to payment methods, submit a non-paying bidder form. >> It's really as simple as this. He's not playing by the rules. That aside, though, I'm not sure there is much cause for panic. Wire transfer sounds impressive in America, but in Europe, like Kuhli said, it is probably the… -
Re: Confussed:???????

If you are only interested in lower grade i.e. cheaper coins then RAW coins are not the much of a loss if you don't keep making the same mistake. You can learn to block out the scammers on eBay real quick, but there are also a lot of good dealers there too. If you want to get into the more expensive coins then. I would and… -
Re: How should I sell a large number of slabs?
Yeah topstuf, feel free to copy, reprint, gaveaway, sell or whatever you can get from it. Heehe It's funny but kinda true too. And thanks for the added tips & comments. And here's a workaround for the 15 PMs I got calling me an idiot and saying that airplanenut might get a negative feedback if he did all that: #7 feedback:…
