Re: Im even tempted on this one -- guess the final bid
Here is the trick. They have the coins listed as UNC I won one a few years back....cracked it open...all CIRC/cleaned....and ebay/paypal refunded my purchase since the coins were not UNC. Two can play the game if any of you want to ..... ...not that I recommend this....but you could crack it open...and send ebay pictures… -
Re: Resealing is now OK
<< <i>Skywalker, I have another Star Wars quote for you that is much more definitive. Obi-Wan said it in ROTS. "Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil!" I am sorry to hear that this happened to you. Vito, I purchase action figures graded AFA 85 or better. I also avoid yellow blisters. >> thanks. One thing I found out is that… -
Re: How can we sell on Ebay any longer?
I've sold online since 1997 with a perfect rating and no prolems until about 4 years ago, right after they changed the rules, I sold a guy a car part, he complained and sent me back a box of doggie doo doo and I got the royal shaft. I don't know what part of that would have been my fault but I haven't sold a card on there… -
Re: How many got an e-mail from E-bay?

<< <i> I rceived it, too. I have NEVER sold a thing on eBay, either! And freebie or not, I don't intend to. Too many horror stories here. Enough to kill my interest. >> That's the sad thing about the internet clearing house for horror stories. I've sold close to 20,000 items on ebay in the past 4 years. I've had a few… -
Re: Legitimate PAYPAL chargebacks?
You should have the right proof of delivery - if it's over $250 you need signature confirmation, nothing else will do. If you have that, the only excuse I can think of for a buyer would be "not as described". If he found that it was altered or trimmed, after leaving positive feedback but before the time limit for filing a… -
Re: Hey! Who's the cornhole that stole my scans and put them on their website?
<< <i>. I'm all about helping folks out but I am out of pocket for all site related expenses. Considering that I'm not even breaking even on the site it would be great if someone else would ask before trying to make a buck off my work. >> I see what your saying. I don't mind about my scans being used. What they're being… -
Re: Proof Gold Eagles from the Mint
Agreed. Look at all the people who just bought Platinum. Including me. As for Gold, if they want to do 'repricing' stuff, then they should price it $50 above bullion on any given day(or what ever amount) . What if gold goes back to $600. Will they reprice downward, I doubt it. They should have left it at $770. they are not… -
Re: Can PCGS detect Laser cut Bell Lines on Franklins ?

It's threads like this and articles in Coin World about the grading practices of PCGS and NGC (the big boys get treated better than the little old mes and yous) that make me glad I sold my small coin collection. When what's raw is probably fiddled with, and then the graders are suspect, novices like me don't stand a… -
Re: Some Suspicious Man Talked To Me Outside the Balt. Show
<< <i>this guy wasn't a panhandler he would blend right in with the coin show crowd minus the mustard stains on the shirt. he was clean shaven as well and without any visible tattoos or major scars. >> May not have been a panhandler, which can be a nuisance, but sounds like a robber/scammer, which can be worse. Sounds like…
