Re: EBay to Authenticate all Raw Cards over $750
Nonsense. Any seller who is ripping people off with $250 and up cards won't be selling on eBay for long in the first place. EBay does do some things right. The scammers are shut down in a matter of weeks if they get too many negs from buyers. The ones they need to rein in are the guys selling $10 cards that are reprints or… -

Re: 1993 Jeter SP PSA 10 currently on EBAY
I was tipped off last night by board member ergoism who was looking to acquire the card. The reason I asked to have the pics from VCP added was to see if anyone else could figure it out. I already knew it was bad when I asked Bob to check the barcode and that is surprising this scammer has gotten that figured out. It is my… -
Re: Master Trade Ratings List - The "Good Guy" Thread
Nah, I get it.. and I appreciate your trust..funny thing is I forgot about you :o .. The board has talked about a "feedback" system here in the past. I'm not sure where it died; with the host, or just gets forgotten, or it would be too tough. It seems to come up whenever a scammer gets someone. Unfortunalely, that happens… -
Re: Ebay Darkside SNAD Love to here your take on it!
. i recall within the past 2 years that ebay was actually permitting buyers of counterfeits to destroy them after they proved to ebay they were fake and then also refunded the purchase amount. i bet a lot of scammers and probably a few honest unsuspecting folks raised cain about it. (not just coins) i can pitcher a lot of… -
Re: $273M Mega Millions jackpot winner from NJ says he initially forgot the lottery ticket at the store
There was an episode of "American Greed" where a security expert cracked the lottery code out West, Iowa. It took a dogged investigator to find out why the suspicious looking guy didn't claim his prize, tried to work through lawyers and divert assets offshore. No dice on that gambit; but that would actually be possible in… -
Re: PCGS statement on counterfeit holders
"Alert members of the PCGS Message Boards were the first to notify PCGS of the counterfeit coins/holders." hmmmm.......so when David Hall stated to us here a couple years back, that this forum serves no purpose to PCGS and wanted to shut down the boards, did he ever consider that many of us are his/their eyes and ears in… -
Re: HELP: Buyer wants a refund ...
So what protection does a seller really have against buyers like this? Other than not selling on eBay? Even if you videotape the packaging of an item [unless you do it in front of a USPS employee] that doesn't prove anything since those can be faked too. What eBay/PayPal needs is an independent arbitrator who doesn't favor… -
Re: So I purchased an item and now the seller won't ship...what to do.
EBAY has become a scammer's venue delight, both on the buyer and seller end of things. IT's unfortunate for the few legit Sellers left. I refuse to list auction items using EBAY. Their Fee's and the high risk of getting caught up in someone's scam.........just isn't worth the effort or cost's . Years ago, I was a full time… -
Re: Retaliatory Feedback and Giving Negative Feedback...
<< <i> << <i>Storm if sellers do the right thing I don't think feedback will be a problem.
