Hard to tell from that image but I'd say it's a fake. AU50, 1889cc's could be sold locally to a dealer for more than what he's asking. Clearly a scammer. Run Forest, run! bob -

These scammers know how to game the system and I'm sure he's done this more than once. Unfortunately, he will prevail with paypal. At least he didn't send you an empty box back. -

I think deals are occasionally available but they are going to dry up as eBay pulls up to 15% for their/PAYPAL fees most sellers that will be left , will be consignment sellers, scammers, and people that get their product for free -

This scammer has been listing bogus boxes and packs for some time now. Considering the number of people he's ripped off already, I'm surprised he's still a registered user on ebay. -

"Express Mail International" is the only way to protect yourself in this situation...saved me on a $200 transaction...the scammer decided to back off when he realized I could track the item's delivery. -

Some are just collectors who "took it up a notch" do coins for a living. Some are just scammers, who, if they did not deal in coins, would be working a different scam. Other varieties exist. -

And for those of you who don't know Joe, he is a scheisty scammer, a puppy beater, an old woman robber, and a habitual prank caller. He was also spotted on Dateline a few weeks ago... -

I like lettered edges on bust halves, but not for the prexybucks- I think it's just another gigantic opportunity for scammers and sleazers to cheat the ignorant public and give numismatics a bad name along the way...
