If you buy modern cards you should look at them in the same way that collectors did in the 1950s. They were toys, and the money spent on them was spent, not invested. You got your money's worth after looking at them, flipping them, trading them, etc. Remember back in the 1950s most of the boys who collected baseball cards… -

CRO by a country mile for me. Clean and crisp. Besides a great layout I love that all the coins that are for sale are on one page. The pics are also excellent quality wise . Write ups are short but VERY interesting. I appreciate the slab shots when applicable. The sub categories are robust as well and I love the archives. m -

Actually a lot of the mid-range regular issues cards from the 1950s (i.e. 1951 bowman, 1952-1958 topps) all have been strong lately, but with Lelands, Memorylane, Mile High, Grey Flannel, etc. all running auctions at the same time, there are plenty of good deals to be had! What happened to this coin???

Poor storage? Replaced in the mint set? This looks like Lincoln didn't get shot by John Wilkes Booth in the theater but possibly more like Pee Wee Herman. Sorry about the photography. This is not exactly a coin you waste a lot of time with. Also note the same goofy mint mark as on my other post, the 79 Kennedy. John -
