Miles, I also thought that Manorcourtman's selling approach was saavy. Irresistable, in fact. I also struggled with the price question for days, but my thought process evolved almost parallel to yours. Yeah, there may not be as many Plat collectors now but it could still be a gift. No guarantees, but still worth a shot. -

Personally, would NOT dip that coin--to gain a possible mild CAM reverse (why)? The coin's beautiful as is; unless you think it has a shot at CAM or DCAM (doubtful)...thanks for sharing it. I like the purple, and 1950 is a tough date to find a remarkable coin...(I'd get in line to buy it, too). -

KC, I like the 91 Fisk. The 91 Clemens is also cool. Overrated, no arguement with the Mick. Being he is what most people envision the ideal ball player to look like, especially for that era, even the cards with his head shots are great. Those Matson cards are hilarious. -

My favorite 19 year old photo of Orr on this game program cover. Would of made a great rookie card imo. His rookie card is just a head shot. This program cover and his 1967 Topps and General Mills have the Bruins uniform in a full pose. Anyway, to each his own. -

I don't expect the loaf of bread to be $10 by that time. Bread hasn't been that inflationary of a product. But if you consider OJ, sugar, coffee, soy, milk, and other staples, those could be up quite a bit. I still think the PM's will be outpace them exponentially at some point when real mania and panic buying sets in.… -
