I "collected" coins as a kid, but that collection was limited to pieces I could pull out of my father's change bag from his milk route and then repay him with money I had in-hand. This was in the mid-1970s and I found nothing silver and only the sporadic Wheat cent. The rapid escalation of prices with the silver and gold…
