Re: please delete
First of all, no one on this forum is going to cover $$ for me........thanks for the offers and the thoughtfulness, but i'm not going to accept those offers...i don't need/take handouts. As for Customroll.......sounds like we have a tough guy on our hands! You already called me a scumbag in your first post on this… -
Re: For Real? Xmas Rack Pack With Koufax Rookie showing

JR According to Mark Murphy, the oldest racks he knows of are from 1960 which were cellos in a rack; traditional racks with cards in pockets started in 1968. I believe Murphy stated in his sale of these "Christmas Racks" that they were repacks - if on the up and up, by a vendor as opposed to being the design of a scammer.… -
Re: Help from the boards Ebay seller problem...what a snake
As long as the auction is still visible on Ebay feedback can be left for it. Some items stay in the system for up to 6 months. Either you neg him or not.. Don't beat around the bush about it. Having a 100% is not all its cracked up to be and in fact it can make you the target of scammers. These view sellers with high… -
Re: Pete Rose PSA Thread
Mindt you EBAY isn't perfect but it has gotten alot better in weeding out unscrupolous sellers and auctions. The Pete Rose rookie card used to be ( and probably still is), a card that scammers liked to sell because of its value.......On a whole you just need to use common Ebay sense. Be leary of zero or low feedback… -
Re: 1960 Topps Wax pack break- final results....
<<< Shill posts. You gotta love this guy. Check CDsNuts' posts. He has been buying all different unopened wax and giving the board his results. You are way off. >>> This kind of shilling stuff has been done here before in this forum. I already offered my apologies if I'm incorrect. Doesn't seem logical a guy with 1800… -
Re: Have you noticed how many current eBay coin sellers...
There are many reasons for a no- return policy. Believe it or not, there are actually some genuine estate coins that must be sold to settle estates. Also when a state treasurer sells coins for the state the sale is final. A state is not in the coin business and only sells them when they confiscate them for some reason.… -
Re: "Find" of 45 1949 Bowman BB cards
<< <i>vintagetoppsguy, I'm unclear on what you're saying. I didnt click any links or anything. He sent me an e-mail with text only. That's how we negotiated, then he said he'd do an eBay transaction (which is safe).... How exactly is he gonna get my logons? >> A lot of the phishing scams out there actually have a link to a… -
Re: Dont open the box!!!!
Not opening the box is perhaps a craze that has returned. Apparently in the 50s or 60s (I forget which) there was a big craze for proof sets in mint sealed boxes. Evidentally some scammers could manage to open the box, substitute washers for the coins, and then reseal the box so that it was not easily detected. As I recall… -
Re: Paypal - Confirmed Address Question
<< <i> "Hey, is this payment legit?" I'm sorry but that was hilarious! If they say yes will you feel better? Post of the year! Thanks, Bob C. >> Apparently you don't understand what I meant by that statement. If someone had used his Paypal account without the buyer knowing it, I could then use the Ebay email to actually… -
Re: My package arrived at PCGS empty. Shipped with FedEx.
That is really awful that happened. I hope you recover your loss. I have sent submissions via USPS no problems. I insure accordingly. Couple months ago I had a $45 eBay coin purchase overdue. PCGS 69 ASE. This was when facility shutdown for a week. My item was put in the wrong POB. It ended up in mine a week later.…
