Re: ANGS TPGS
There has to be more we can do to prevent people from being ripped off. I started a webpage on this, a blog, an ebay group and a TPGS forum to inform coin collectors. These type ebay auctions are bad for the hobby, and now is not the time for collectors to be losing out on their hard earned money. I got over 37,000 page… -
Re: Key word spamming
<< <i>Only in the title eh? So if you do a search using PCGS as a key word and a list of 50 coins comes up and only 3 of them are in PCGS slabs and you have to look through the other 47 because of the above are you still happy? You can put lines like this : <<Member ANA, NENA, CONECA, JRCS, SPMC, LTS, CWTS. Authorized… -

Re: Insight into Collector Demographics
I follow your account out there, along with many others. My primary postings are also coins and the occasional vacation pictures. Those usually have my trusty Bust halves posing in there somewhere. I get pinged off and on for advice and opinions from people out there, and many of them appear to be a younger demographic.… -
Re: The New Paypal ($25 Free to sign up)

Check out this site. You need to scroll down and start at the bottom to really follow the discussion. While I am not sure this is an outright scam, I am quite sure that GreenZap's business model is fatally flawed and very few people will ever see their "free money." They are not sending you a check or MO as somebody asked… -
Re: Dreams of "The Find"...

About 10 years ago, the neighbor kids down the street (twin boys) came by our garage sale. I had a few old baseball cards lying out. The boys noticed a few '67 Topps and said, "My dad has a bunch of these." I asked, "What's he got?" They said, "A lot of Rod Carew cards with that other guy on the same card." I sent them… -
Nice....paypal scam
This one went to my correct email box AND correctly called me by my CORRECT full name. Of course, the "mouse-over" on the link they provide you to correct things isn't to paypal. Also, instead of saying to login, they give the link. So, it isn't perfect, but it certainly is one of the best scams I have seen so far (no… -
Re: Walter Payton
As a lifelong Bears fan, I really miss the guy. In the late 70s and early 80s, he was predominantly the team. I still to this day harbor animosity where Super Bowl XX is concerned, because he unquestionably deserved a touchdown in that game. Instead, the novelty act that was William Perry received not one, but two… -
Re: Post the ugliest toned coin you've ever SEEN!! Fun topic!!
Sorry, Slammer. You didn't even qualify. That Columbian half isn't ugly at all. It's not gorgeous, either, but I like it just fine. Not bad, and even mildly appealing. The ASE in the OP definitely gets the CAC (Coins Approaching Crap) "black bean" sticker. No pix, but I saw a classic commem inside a PCGS MS65 OGH once that…
