Re: how trustworthy is the coin dealers newsletter (CDN)
The great thing about coins, unlike gas, electricity, food, education, automobiles, and Steelers' tickets and memorabilia, is that one does not need coins. If there were any hidden games, scams, or frauds, like in every other case, they eventually would become public knowledge and would ruin the business for those who put… -

Re: NEW for 12/1: $100 ebay gift card for $90
Please be careful with this seller. The seller is actually Paypal, and I had a very difficult time with them. I actually had to file a dispute against them, and had to wait til the end of the dispute to get my refund. Once I made the dispute, all communications stopped from the buyer. I was very disappointed. They acted… -
Re: New silver coin buyer looking for advice
Short answer is buy what you like. Most of the newer ones trade closer to bullion value than most older ones. If that's what you want, fine. The average newer one is not likely to go up a lot, but you can buy them cheap and just hold them as silver. Lots of old coins function that way as well (like Peace dollars), there… -

<< <i>The 1989 Donruss example I was trying to keep it SIMPLE. Nothing to do with modern vs vintage A model used for both Now when I say a model used for both I mean. Re: Listings Coins & Notes for Free
I know it's early in your development....But I think a little more details is required in your "help" section on the site. I simply tried to figure out if buyer payments are directly to the seller, or if the site acts as an intermediary in some fashion. Couldn't figure it out from the available information?! Also, what… -
Re: It surfaces again...
<< <i>I am curious as to how some know that the PSA slab is "fake" in the auction link. It's a pretty good operation he has going. Zoom in on the… -
Re: Would you buy from a seller with 500+ feedback that started listing high-dollar cards?
<< <i>His feedback is solid with no past problems. No real signs, if any, to doubt his integrity as a seller. $1000 is way off though for the 55 AA Feathers card .... VCP average for last 5 sold @ PSA 8 is $234.10 >> The Feather is actually the 1935 Chicle Card, not the AA Set. How does the $1000 compare to VCP. In Beckett… -

Re: How is this 61 Mantle not OC?
Well, I always get the willies when someone goes from selling no cards or very cheap cards right to selling extremely expensive cards. This seller is making an abrupt career shift from electronics to high-end vintage cards. It might be legit, but also the real electronics guy may have fallen for one of those phishing…
