I get the OP's point. Just picked up a couple of holdered 2006 Proof SAE's at auction and both have a ton of milk spots. Need to start looking better before I enter bids. -

Just tell me it wasn't a silver eagle with milk spots.... The strangest packaging I've had is cut up cereal boxes for protection. If I got the package you did I would boil the coin.... -

the BSA I kept with the small strike through already had a large milk spot developing on it when it arrived. It is much better developed and cloudier now. I consider it the coin's other mint error. -

Sad but true. I just replaced the 04 PR70 because it had milk spots. First I've even seen on a proof and a 70 no less. That one gets sent back to Ron I think. -

Would PCGS [upon request] dip these like some forum members do to stabilize the surfaces and prevent the milk spotting which has plagued some of the slabbed ASE's? If not I probly wouldn't spend the $$$. -

Edson, I remember the coin. It had a huge milk spot on the obverse, and I think it was listed on eBay by forum member Koincollector. EDIT: Here's the original thread in BST. It was "coynclecter" that sold it. Russ, NCNE -

seylevel is notorious for bait and switch ~ you see a nice flawless MS69 ASE and you get the most heavily milk spotted dog you ever did see sorry to hear of your troubles -

It would of cost you more if you sent it in for grading. However without a picture of Both sides, I can’t see if their are MILK SPOTS ON YOUR COIN. Just to see if you got burned or not. No True View picture?
