Re: Who should pay the $21.25 *Update*
The way you do it is to issue a partial refund through Paypal. This will work until Paypal cuts all ties to ebay in the near future. Ebay is able to see your refund and can manually cancel the transaction refunding the FVF fees. Don't know what will happen in the future when Papyal's information is not available to ebay. I… -

Re: I have to accept defeat. An ebay return policy story.
<< <i>that I do care about is that the buyer came out swinging with extorting the refund. That is what set me off. SELLERS BEWARE >> it would be nice if people would move a couple of pawns before screaming checkmate. some people are too fragile. too many think most members on ebay are scammers and/or idiotas and thusly… -
Re: GAI 'resealed' yields 2 nice cards
no way could # 227 (2nd series) and #513 (4th or 5th, I forget which) be in the same pack. I'd check under a blacklight, I'm betting the scammer took a bunch of nice looking rejected cards and put them in there. Did you save the gum? Tough to tell from a scan, but the bottom of the Carew looks suspect as well. GAI did some… -
Re: Another ebay fake to report
All it would take is one full time employee (a professional numismatist would be ideal) who could look at the new items and kill the fakes. Problem solved. So, clearly, feebay doesn't give a flying ---- about creating a safe marketplace for buyers. After all, they make money when a real coin sells - or a fake. What did… -
Re: Do you think this '52 Topps psa Mantle is legit?
I wish I would of checked these boards a couple days ago but have been to busy to look around. The card was mine and it is real and on it's way to it's new home, he'll have it this afternoon. I don't blame anyone for not believing the auction to be legit with the number of scammers out there and in retrospect I should of… -
Re: State Government 'Overreach' Limiting My Choices On E-Bay *Minnesota*
I heard one in the industry that pushed for this law was a principal at 'govmint', which I feel has overpriced stuff (but not as bad as some telemarketing rare coin scammers that have been in MN). Here is an example of one of their offerings - what do you think is included in their Barber half 'set' ? 10 Barber halves?… -
Re: Opening an eBay store?

Originally posted by: TopographicOceans It's a new world on eBay now. Buyer's opinions and DSR's no longer matter starting Feb 20. Charge $50 S/H and get all 1 DSR's and you still can get 20% discount. You have to offer returns, ship fast and resolve all buyer issues. Check your seller dashboard Might that be a result of… -
Re: Quick Thoughts -- BST, and Trust
I've used the BST off and on (for buying and selling) for many years without any issues. Like Sam, my icon was also part of a BST deal. I like to believe I got quite a few very auction worthy coins from there for less than it would have gotten in an auction. Sure it can be a gamble at times, but what part of life isn't? As… -
Re: Pros and cons of bullion coin collecting...
No forgeries. No AT. Perfect coins. Don't need TPG. Don't need dealers slickpick you got it right! I don't want to spend my money on coins doctored up by shady collectors/scammers either. Sadly this hobby is a dangerous game for a fool and his money. I just want to buy the coin I like and know I got screwed for the same…
