Re: nice ebay flip 2011 anniversary set
<< <i>I prefer getting payment first and then shipping, that is why my stuff heads to ebay where you get the maximum value, payment up front, and no your order got mixed up like a recent story that a poster posted regarding gaithersburg coin. >> You have serious risks on eBay if you are selling unopened boxes. Sell one to… -
Re: Considering the problems with USPS insurance, what's the best way to mail coins to someone that you

I use Delivery Confirmation on all shipments and even though PayPal requires Signature Service on over $250.00 I put it on all over $200.00. and self insure up to $1000.00. At that point I go to Express mail with Insurance. I hate that gooey tape and waiting forever on Registered. BTW always use some form of tracking on… -
Re: Same Zero feedback bidder who won this the 1st time is bidding on it again, huh? Hmmm....
I just had it out with ebay reps this past week. They need to do a better job hiring people on their fraud team. Some offenses and scams are obvious. They're destroying their own platform and business model. Lately, in my experience ( and I've only been there 18 years) it isn't working too well or going so good. Thanks to… -
Re: Scam hunters: what's going on here?
Guys, I'm not saying I'm tempted in any way, shape, or form to bid on this piece. I don't believe he owns it. Even if he does, you'd have to be a few eggs short of a dozen to pay thousands for a coin whose only images are NGC's images. I'm asking if you feel it's a scam, and if so, what kind of scammer has 8,000 positive… -
Re: Can an eBay seller charge a restocking fee on a return?
I have probably sold about 800 different items on eBay. That would make me a really small time seller. I have had zero returns. I describe my items accurately so as to create no surprises. No returns, no eating of shipping fees. I think sellers who are getting a lot of returns may need to ask themselves why - maybe they're… -
Re: Just about to get my 1st neg
As eBay told me back when I got my first negative, "It's just a battle scar that shows you have been around eBay long enough to take a hit". I now have 9 negatives and 16,408 positives and although they still bother me, I have learned to roll with the punches. If you sell on eBay long enough, you will invariably run up… -
Re: Hey! What happend to the intelijint thread?

<< <i> << <i>Hey Mark I need/require reading glasses... Right now, actually, all three threads are cluster-fucked together. All's quiet on the CU front! >> Hopefully he took his ball and went home. >> Ya know, I kinda feel bad for the guy. He just may be a guy with a dream and not a scammer? Had this great idea - wanted to… -
Re: Question about a SHMO eBay notice <- It's legit (update)
That is a legitimate email from Ebay, what it means is that an auction you either bid on or was watching was either listed by a hijacked account or a member with a hijacked account bid on the item. I sell electronics alot on Ebay and I get one or 2 of these a month as the Nigerian scammers have a pretty tight hold on that… -
Re: Can't believe I won this auction...

Thanks for all the comments and advice, guys. I will definitely be very cautious with this one, and if this ends up being a scam I'll be sure to post here for sympathy & cry about it. I see that this seller also has a group of 4 Green Bay Packers season tickets ending tonight. IF the seller is a scammer, the LAST people… -
Re: mantle scam !
I have a hunch he bought the fake already "graded" by Roy Huff. Among the other items he is selling is a Montana autographed jersey with a Steiner COA, which he bought not long ago on eBay. Many of both his purchases and sales are from private auctions, and he has bought from notorious scammers like gsiesser24. At least…
