Re: OT: Stupid Heritage Question
Ooohhhh.... what if I'm using a netbook which doesn't have a cup holder? Does that mean I can't take delivery of the merchandise and that I have to drive to Dallas to pick it up? Wouldn't flying there be more cost effective? I really think that Heritage is a bunch of scammers for not listing their cup-holder delivery… -
Re: Revealing Cert#s on the Set Registry. Good idea?
Every auction I place on eBay I whiteout the cert number. This is good for both preventing scammers but also if the next guy wants to add the card to the registry, then he isn't delayed by someone who just went "cert # shopping" on eBay. You can always send the cert by email if the buyer/bidder requests Mike -
Re: 1979 Type 2 Proof Sets questions
The 1979 set can be found with a mix of types, it is not considered to be a type 2 set unless ALL of the coins in the set are type 2. The great part of digital imaging is that you don't even have to own the coins to enjoy them. >> And as some scammers are proving with digital imaging you don't have to own them to sell them either.. -
Re: counterfeit ruth aaron cobb mantle what is psa doing?
Who the heck would bid on a card (like the PSA 5 Goudey Ruth) where the scans - *SCANS* mind you, not photos from a digital camera - are out of focus? Seriously. It's basically impossible to scan something and have it be out of focus - unless you manipulate the scan afterward to be out-of-focus. And only a scammer would do… -
Re: Ever win something on Ebay...
The title said one thing, the picture was another. They said the picture was correct, but my bid wasn't high enough. Asked the rep to reconsider, then I was called a scammer and dishonest (via email). I emailed someone much higher on their company totem pole and will wait to hear back from them before I do anything. -

Re: Steel Pennies ? Can I sell them, and for what ?
I'm mostly interested in what to do with this 1944. I would think it has some collectors interest? This must have been faked in the 60s or very early 70s ? It's having a magnetic coating. It only shows copper on the edge and weighs 2.9 to 3.0. I'm guessing nickel/zinc? $? E/Bay ? Not Ebay... this can only go to a real…
