Re: Let's play a game of "Real or Fake?"
I just hope that the OP is not really the owner of these cards wondering if they will pass the real vs fake test. Forgive me for being suspicious but there are a lot of scammers that try to come through here. It's always odd when a NUBE comes here with such major cards in slabs. If you're legit, dont get scammed by these… -

Re: Someones trying to pull a scam with one of my ended auctions!*Updated*
<< <i>I believe this is the reason that Ebay instituted this hidden identity of bidders on higher priced items. On many auctions all you see is Bidder1, Bidder2........etc. >> The real solution would have been to discontinue the second chance offer. Re: Sold a mint card on ebay and now buyer wants a refund.
Give the person the refund only because if you do not, and he makes a paypal claim, he's going to get his money back anyway...even if your listing clearly states "no returns" eBay, in their effort to get rid of fraudulent sellers, has created fraudulent buyers. Scammers will always be lurking. Patrick -
Re: 1943 copper penny ! Double Struck !!
Very odd coin. It's hard to tell how much (any/some/all) of it is as struck and how much might be post-Mint shenanigans (other than the copper plating). Nice to see the seller clearly spelling out that it's NOT a copper cent; amidst all the fakers and scammers, they're at least totally honest about that. -

Re: question on a huge buy
I'd put that much money into commodity or dividend stocks, but that's just me. If you love cards I would say just be sure who you're dealing with. A lot of scammers out there, especially when you are talking that much money. Card market is hot now, try to buy and sell before the market crashes again. -
Re: Ebay
I agree that there are dealers that not that great, however they go buy the way side soon. On ebay they number more and more scammers. Some only change their ID and continue on. Also some buyers look for fake gold and silver and then go pawn shops. coin shops, flee markets and coin shows trying to sell them as the real… -
Re: ebay counterfeit tracking thread part MMXIV
. but the guy selling these in the back alley promised me they were real! they 2 a shame to see scammers making larger profits than honest folk. just posting this one for posterity. idk for sure about it. have to dig out the gold book. not even looking for the stuff. just can't go in the water w/o getting bit. .
