Re: Someones trying to pull a scam with one of my ended auctions!*Updated*
<< <i>I believe this is the reason that Ebay instituted this hidden identity of bidders on higher priced items. On many auctions all you see is Bidder1, Bidder2........etc. >> The real solution would have been to discontinue the second chance offer. They are such a haven for scammers that just about no legitimate seller… -

Re: Let's play a game of "Real or Fake?"
I just hope that the OP is not really the owner of these cards wondering if they will pass the real vs fake test. Forgive me for being suspicious but there are a lot of scammers that try to come through here. It's always odd when a NUBE comes here with such major cards in slabs. If you're legit, dont get scammed by these… -
Re: 1943 copper penny ! Double Struck !!
Very odd coin. It's hard to tell how much (any/some/all) of it is as struck and how much might be post-Mint shenanigans (other than the copper plating). Nice to see the seller clearly spelling out that it's NOT a copper cent; amidst all the fakers and scammers, they're at least totally honest about that. -

Re: question on a huge buy
I'd put that much money into commodity or dividend stocks, but that's just me. If you love cards I would say just be sure who you're dealing with. A lot of scammers out there, especially when you are talking that much money. Card market is hot now, try to buy and sell before the market crashes again. -
Re: Am I missing something with this Ebay Auction
Topps marks all their reprints as reprints. The only people who don't are people making FAKE cards that are to be pawned off as real. Even though the guy is going on about how it's a fake the little story about taking it to a card shop and being offered 100 bucks and the guy kept calling is classic card scammer technique. -
Re: Paypal wants to put a 20 day hold on my money
You should go to the Post Office which you shipped from ASAP and file a mail recall form. Your situation is beginning to look like the work of a scammer at the other end that either used a stolen credit card account number, or that phished in to another person's Paypal account. Hope you didn't ship the item yet. -
Re: Need Advice: I just got an Unpaid eBay Dispute notice
<< <i>as long as paypal converts to us dollars(which they do) he has nothing to worry about. >> Not quite true. There are lots of dealers who won't accept PP from Canadians because packages sent north of the border cannot be tracked, so sellers feel vulnerable to scammers who could claim item not received.
