I really wish the TPG's would list the cert numbers as "STOLEN COIN" upon receipt of a police report or documentation of a USPS insurance payout. Yeah yeah yeah, I know, it might get cracked out, yada yada yada..... But it might not, or the cert might be used in a fake holder, or an auction by a scammer. -

Just make sure the funds in your account are actually from a wire transfer. There is/has been a scam going around where a bogus cheque/money order is deposited to an account, with the scammer saying it's a wire transfer. Receiver of the funds will then have them ripped away from them by their bank once they discover the… -

<<< I am moving for a new job >>> yea...that tells me considering the situation, that he is moving so that law enforcement has difficulty catching up to him. These sort of scammers move from state to state for that reason. To me he doesn't seem new at this - he's got the "sales pitch" down pat. -

I'll also miss your great posts. If you decide for sure that cards aren't for you, and you choose a different hobby, I hope you enjoy it as much as you did cards! Just be careful, it's not just cards. Anywhere that there is a chance to get money without working you will find the same scammers. -

I have seen their test auctions before they all look like this -> test auction - gp cross promotion -stores what if these millions of auctions were not originated by eBay at all but a new breed of scammer that thinks on a giant scale and somehow hacked and by-passed eBays security just as a test run for mass insertion? -

The Savannah Scammer has been around for quite a while and knows how to skirt eBay's rules quite well. I believe once in the past, someone referred the law authorities after her which made her straighten up for a bit. Her favorite quote is it looks all good to me. Jeff -

Ebay should have it so that you can block any auctions that do not originate inside the U.S. from appearing on your screen. agree?...disagree? what say you? (my opinion is you'd not see so many chinese fakes or out of country scammers.) anyway ...discuss! -

please don't take my comment the wrong way, but if you are having trouble distinguishing things like this you should probably slow down with purchases and spend more time on educating yourself. absent that you'll undoubtedly make mistakes which may end up costing you money as the scammers reel you in. -

I doubt we'll be seeing any feedback left for the buyer. This auction was targeting scammers for the most part.
