Re: NFL in Decline?
I immediately thought about this thread when I (unfortunately) saw that nonsense last night. That was not your average run-of-the-mill blown call, mind you. That was multiple incompetent acts by an officiating crew that should have been fired on the spot. If I had been Tyrannosaurus Rex, I would have been flagged, kicked… -
Re: Have you ever forgotten you owned some coins? Photos

<< <i>I'm still lost because the label on the coin says "Japan Silver Shu 1850's" I know nothing about coins from asia other then it looked cute when I bought it. Had know idea it would be so small. thanks for the positve response. >> "Ishu (pronounced ee-shoe) Gin (with a hard G)" means one shu silver, so that part is… -
Re: Anyone else get the new RCNH monthly newsletter?
just like it is not a great idea to get all your knowledge on a certain newsworthy topic from the ABC, NBC, or CBS evening news, it is also not a great idea to characterize what Warren Mills had to say with just two selected quotes. For a better understanding of his opinion of CAC, one is advised to read the entire… -
Re: TEBOW !!!
Sometimes I wonder if the OP is actually Skip Bayless... The people in the Southeast can talk up the SEC all they want but the SEC is still the amateurs. The worst NFL team is still miles above the best amateur team on any given day. Yet, many SEC players achieve success in the NFL but Tebow hasn't. He isn't simply… -
Re: First SS Central America coins hit the market
Didn't realize there is more of this choice/gem shipwreck gold out there to bring up...esp. the 1857-s twenties. Increasing supplies and dwindling collector/investor base isn't a good formula. Better values than shipwreck gold in the market today include US Mint 1 oz proof gold eagles in mint packaging for 2-3% over spot.… -
Re: How should I handle this eBay seller?
Normally when an auction doesn't specify a charge for shipping , a quick question to the seller about that occurs asap. That way there won't be any surprizes. Further more, the 22 negitives would normally raise a mental red flag , at least to me. Nothing like getting ready to be # 23. We generally reap what we sow in life.… -

Good Morning....Thanks for all of your helpful information. I took another stab at the 1921 Morgan last night. I made a few adjustments based on the advice given by fellow forum members. Although, I dont think it is perfect, I have definitely improved my photograph...Compare the two Morgans below. Thanks again Howdy… -
Re: Image Request: Norweb 1893-S Before Alleged Conservation

IIRC, the color from the catalogue is a bit rich, Mmy customer was in at about $225K . . . . IIRC went from Ed Milas to George Bodeway It's possible Chris Napolitano, then Summit RC, now StacksBowers, later handled both of them for a customer as a broker, and recommended against the "process". I have no idea who owned the… -
Re: Nickel rolls I promised are in the mail
<< <i>OK Loanshark! I have my own nickels but someone asked you if they are P or D. Here in Oregon I can get D but have traded with a friend, from Ohio for the P's. But your story also reminds me of a town in Montana I grew up in (Long, Long ago). A couple of years ago I dropped into the local bank to see someone my… -
A couple of variety questions- 1964 AH Kennedy, 1971-D FEV Ike
I'm giving a presentation on cherrypicking varieties to the Capital City Coin Club next week. I've decided to talk about varieties that have a different story, rather than the typical DDO, RPM, RPD types. Two of the coins I'm using are the 1964 AH Kennedy Half, and the 1971-D RDV-006 Ike dollar. What I need to know is: Is…
