Re: Buying cards to grade
Besides those Christmas rack packs, I dont think many other racks packs are really tampered with. A good scammer knows the sequence of cards in the rack and will know what cards are most likely in it just by looking at the front and back cards. That said, they just keep that rack and send you another one. -
Re: What kinda Rose rookie crapola is this?
Card looks fake to me - that's my opinion. This is the time of the season that brings out the scammers hoping that naive buyers will purchase gifts like this for their family or friends. By the time the holiday season rolls around, and the present is opened and the collector tells the buyer that the card is actually… -
Re: Just terrible
You've got to wonder how many buyers are really victims and who are domestic scammers seeing an opportunity. These won't be marked as copies and might pass a rough photo, craigslist or any number of avenues of disposal. I think that's a great point about buyer protection , it's a big hit and bigger by morning i'd bet. -

Re: Littleton Coin gripe? ...
You should have read the fine print. Look at the bright side - it could have included a handling fee of $100 in the fine print, and you could have been on the hook for that too. Send back the coins and forget about Littleton. They're up there with QVC and the occasional full-page-in-the-local-paper scammers. -
Re: Interesting e-bay auction
i'll bet he's running the auction under someone else's name, changed the e-mail and will try to collect the money. the buyers will have no recourse with the scammer, only the ebay seller. this scenario would be a little more believable if there was more at stake. i don't know if 20 counts of mail fraud is worth $100. -
