I didn't look at each of his sales but I looked at a few - he seemed to use the old ebay scammer trick of building up positive feedback with cheap .99 cent sales, then offering expensive lots and pulling off the scam. Right out of the con artist handbook. -

I don't seem to be blessed with getting these wonderful offers. I only snipe when I bid on eBay. For those who get these offers is it possible you get them because you put your bids in early and the scammers get to see who is bidding on what? Joe. -

Akafocus, Sounds like both were definitely wrong. You might want to consider screening the people that you accept to your site a little closer...especially calling it SportsCardSherriff.....it seems that it was well known by many people that David Diec (alabamaslammer/MOB/Triple Threat) was a scammer. Most every time the seller says something like 'some proceeds are going to charity', the seller is a scammer. Now I said 'most every time' not all the time, so don't flame me for picking on sellers donating to charity because there are legitimate ones on Ebay, but usually it means bad news. -

hello e-bay and many other sites are not caring about laws and such they are after $$$$ and these fake coin sellers net them thousands of dollars in sale fees, listing fees and such, to them why stop this it's raking them in major $$$$ yes it maybe against the law but those laws are rarely enforced and scammers know this -

So the legit seller who tonight sold a 1 oz maple leaf for 1, 186.00 lost money? I'm not so sure the scammer sold at a big discount is the only point I've tried to make. It really does not matter. I think we are thinking of 2 different things. Stve -

Like veeryone else nowadays, I use caller ID. If the number isn't one I recognize, it just gets unanswered and sent to voice mail. It's a pleasure not having to deal with scammers and unwanted solicitors, although sometimes if I'm in a bad mood I answer the phone anyway and give 'em the business! -

A couple of months ago I actually got a voice mail on my cel phone inquiring about an ebay item that I never had for sale. Kinda scary that these scammers are out there in full force. And yes, I do get those e-mails also. Like 1 or 2 a week. -

I now have to pay my friend like 500 dollars because you wonderful bidders won't bid for the cheap cards. I don't blame you thanks. I'm wondering what kind of agreement he reached with this "friend?" He's obviously not a scammer, but maybe his friend is? lol.
