Re: What Price Would You Put on This Toned Dollar?
I'll say the differance is the intent, u put them in an album which speeds up toning but not by 2 much and u didnt do it so u could scam people either. He speeds up the toning with full knowledge that he will scam people with them, i wont call him a Coin Doctor but he is a scammer for selling them if he intentionally… -
Re: On Ebay: Fake ANACS Slab -- "MS67" Saint
Geez, this doofus is a registered eBay Trading Assistant. Not a very bright one at that: << <i>I am offering to assist you in selling any of your unwanted goods. You must provide me with, either the actual product(shipped at your expense),or reasonably good scans, as well as description. >> That translates to "Attention… -
Re: 2004 Morgan Dollar

You're right...it may be confusing due to others making the ripoff Morgans, but, I would LOVE that The mint would be getting the money, people would be getting actual Mint commems or whatever, and maybe there would be less chance for scammers in that area. I would buy some from the USMint, but I won't buy from the other… -
Re: Well, at least the guy is honest about his shill bidding...

Lol... sure an apology is rare, but should he be praised? Heck no. It's illegal, and you'd have to be an incompetent maroon to not realize that. Hell even snake oil sales men knew what they did was illegal... People like this have ruined Ebay. It WAS a great place, now populated by scammers, jerks, and unethical schmucks.… -
Re: Is this guy a rip-off??
You have every right to demand the MO back before sending cash. Other wise you will have paid him twice without seeing a product. He's already negged you, so he has no more recourse. If you want my advise (assuming their isn't that much money involved) neg him as a scammer, and then start emailing his bidders explaining… -
Re: Deceptive counterfeit carson city morgan for sale
There are some scammers and shady folks, I have had a few folks come in knowing what they were selling was bogus, but as soon as they realized they were'nt dealing with a newbie, they quickly left. But I agree with mark, I have also had several people who really had no idea what they had was fake or not what they thought… -
scam - eBay Power Seller e-mail
Not sure if this has been brought up lately but be careful.. The e-mail looks very legit.. It looks like it's from eBay and invites you to be a power seller.. You click join and it takes you to a really well done eBay look alike where you need to login. By entering your user name and password you'll be sending the scammer… -
Re: Ebay seller asking me to pay through Iban Bic
The thing about it is, I've read some online complaints about Ebay scammers asking for payment by wiring money to their account, and afterwards the customer never receives the item they purchased. There's no protection for the customer if they wire the money. What's to keep the seller from just stealing the money. I'm sure… -
Re: The Card ID # on a PSA graded card
While there's a few good reasons why a COLLECTOR might want to block their numbers, anybody trying to sell you cards with the numbers blocked needs to be looked at very cautiously. There are good reasons scammers don't want you to know, make it difficult to obtain, or can't provide you this information or a "clean"… -
Re: Beckett VS PSA, pluses and minuses of both..

<< <i>That said, my confidence in PSA slabs continues to diminish with every fake and switch uncovered.... and PSA's (lack of) response. Fortunately what I collect is typically not a prime target for scammers, but I have infinitely more confidence in the tamper evident Beckett slab than I do PSA's offering. >> Scott: You…
