I don't seem to be blessed with getting these wonderful offers. I only snipe when I bid on eBay. For those who get these offers is it possible you get them because you put your bids in early and the scammers get to see who is bidding on what? Joe. -

Exactly. And just because a card is from 2018 (just using that since the OP mentioned that year) does not mean it has not been trimmed / altered, in a counterfeit slab, a blatant counterfeit (every year of cards is being counterfeited - look at ETSY listings), not in the condition as described by the seller, etc. Many… -

Most every time the seller says something like 'some proceeds are going to charity', the seller is a scammer. Now I said 'most every time' not all the time, so don't flame me for picking on sellers donating to charity because there are legitimate ones on Ebay, but usually it means bad news. -

hello e-bay and many other sites are not caring about laws and such they are after $$$$ and these fake coin sellers net them thousands of dollars in sale fees, listing fees and such, to them why stop this it's raking them in major $$$$ yes it maybe against the law but those laws are rarely enforced and scammers know this -

Nice racket you got going. Auction an item twice and take the highest bidder and then send the loser excess inventory. LOL! Just having some fun with you. But I wonder if several scammers have ever tried this method. BTW Congrats on the upcoming birth. Will his CU name be weedwackerboy? -

Unfortunately, he is not doing anything illegal or against the rules of eBay. Every statement is a fact or his opinion. He could be offering them for 9.99 or 99.99 or whatever. He is surely appealing to those who think they will get a deal. I think this is terrible but no worse than lots of other scammers on eBay. -

I now have to pay my friend like 500 dollars because you wonderful bidders won't bid for the cheap cards. I don't blame you thanks. I'm wondering what kind of agreement he reached with this "friend?" He's obviously not a scammer, but maybe his friend is? lol. -

They bought on eBay for quite a while, then laid off, and now they are selling claiming to be selling their collection. Seems believable to me, and I don't see any coins that would be the type a scammer would list. If you see something this seller has that you need, go for it. Just use a credit card with PayPal. -

So the legit seller who tonight sold a 1 oz maple leaf for 1, 186.00 lost money? I'm not so sure the scammer sold at a big discount is the only point I've tried to make. It really does not matter. I think we are thinking of 2 different things. Stve
