Re: Airtites & PVC Flips
I'm too new to have any experience. It's just what I've read on here that even coins in slabs (or airtites) tone due to the air in the slab, and some silver does develop milk spots. but I'm only repeating what I've read. you'll have to wait for someone with firsthand experience for an authoritative answer. -
Re: 1953 D Bugs bunny Variety, how much is it really worth
I got this Franklin Bugs Bunny back in 2014. My photos are not that clear but using a 30x loupe, it looks more like a vampire Franklin than a Bugs Bunny. Should I submit for grading or keep it raw since obvious milk spotting are visible with the naked eye? Thanks for any comments. Thanks for viewing. -

Re: Photo Shopped to death ?
Well when I look at the half, it looks like it has some hazing and small milk spots on it. The Quarter looks to have some too. Although hazing should probably not detract too much from the overall grading score. But the question would still be why the half and quarter and dime aren't slabbed already. -

Re: Wow, what do you think spotted these Omega Lincoln cents?

They were just as visible (the spots) at the Stack's site. Those Omega zinc blanks were treated no differently than the Billions, upon Billions of the rest of the circulating cents struck over the last many years. Some get lucky and come out fairly clean, but the vast majority are simply not "cleaned" good enough to… -
Re: Do you bend over to pick up pennies??
I was walking one of my favorite four-mile loops last week and found a heavily salted clad quarter on the shoulder of the road. A half-mile later, I found a penny, and then about 300m past that, I found a nickel. With 3/4 of a mile left, I only needed a dime to "hit for the cycle," so I started paying serious attention to… -
Re: Thinking of selling all my ASE stuff
What you have are common, but popular, modern coins that are dependent on the plastic for their value. If the dreaded milk spots should start to appear the liquidity of your coins will drop sharply. Take your profit and move on to some pre-1934 numismatic coins that are not dependent on the plastic for their value. When… -
Re: Well, at least Marty doesn't get them all!

<< <i>Grade opinions ? >> I'm thinking about sending them to NGC, so they're both PR69UCAM. The Frankie is no question DCAM on the obverse, with the reverse being right on the cusp. It has a couple small milk spots. As is, either 66DCAM or 67CAM. The Kennedy is a nice 68CAM that could on a lucky day go DCAM. Russ, NCNE
