If OP wants to try optical detection, he will need a tuneable narrow band collimated light source used in a darkened room. The surface debris causing "milk spots" might fluoresce only at specific narrow wavelengths. -

I thought I had some, but I they are all on the computer at home. All I have here at school are some after photos of coins. It usually works well with haze, but it does not work well with milk spots. -

yep, and polished, one like the other, shiny and glitzy.. and someone tried to get the milk spot off the 1948 dollar... the ones I bought were the diving goose, the triple 1967 $ and the 1966 small beads dollar. -

Looks legit to me . . . I have a few team signed Yankees Baseballs 1953-56-58. Only difference is on the 53 he's not on the sweet spot and on the 56 and 58 he shares the swet spot with Yogi so the signatures are a little bit smaller . I'd wait until a reputable authenticating company is having an appearance for… -

Re: Need some acetone advice
Acetone will dissolve many organic substances including most greases. It will have no effect on most inorganic substances except for salts. It should not be possible to tell that a coin was bathed in acetone but will probably not take off the milk spots or the toning. -

Red X's are like milk spots, don't know when one will show up. I do know that if the pic is removed from where the link tells it to look, a red X will show up in its place. -

Milk spots have nothing to do with the slab, I have had them spot both in the slab and raw, I prefer PCGS, NGC, and ANACS, I am not saying anything negative about ICG except I have seen so many of there modern coins slabbbed 70's that were obviously not 70's that it makes me question why they do that.
