Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
@86Saab I have three ANACS Slab Generation 3 holders. S/N 300288 1961-D 10c MS-64, 301175 1979-S 1c PF66R, 301811 1978-D 50C MS65 All fit into your serial number range. Very nice job on your ANACS Slab Generation article, I have saved and printed it. Just one typo I saw on the appendix fig 1 your serial number is short,… -

Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
I love the ANACS Slab Gen 1 (Type 11) gold foil reverse. And suspect most everyone here keeps an eye out for these little gems. I've rarely been disappointed by one of those. The photo certs often hide some great coins too. About a decade ago an ANACS photo cert early $5 gold came into one of my local shops. It was graded… -

@pursuitofliberty Thank you for the for the compliment, I'm glad you find value in it. I enjoyed putting it together and appreciate all the help and advice I got from members especially from @BStrauss3 and the great work by @bob48 on the photo certs. Speaking of photo certs, I found a new variety of the Type 3 cert, at… -
Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
I am very interested in the ANACS small white holders. From the URL link in the first post (86Saab, May 16, 2019) of this discussion I have saved the description and photos of ANACS Slab Gen 1 to Gen 6. I am somewhat confused about insert relative to ridge along rim: a) The description for Gen 4 says “white insert goes… -
Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
I missed the 2019 dialog, but this is good stuff. When I click on the ANACS barcode link I get a, "nope, not here ..." message. Is there a current link? I am attaching 3 "oddballs" for your thoughts. I somewhere came to believe the first pic is from a TV/Mass Marketing effort. The second one can be found right now on eBay… -
Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
A couple of points....... I was told that the Washington DC A - B - C ledger books rotated on a daily basis, so that A might be used on Monday to log in coins, then used to process coins on Tuesday while coins were being logged in in B, then used to mail out coins on Wednesday while the B coins were being processed and new… -
Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
Prior to ANACS hiring me to completely re-do their cert verification and population report (I'm who helped @BStrauss3 with missing cert # ranges as he posted earlier), we had the below key for the first 2 characters of the old certs published on our website. You had to translate your cert using this key before you could… -
Re: ANACS Slab by Generation Info
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I've definitely learned some new things. I would like to go back to one of my earlier questions though as I've yet to figure out or hear a theory about the slab I called "Gen 3" that fits the fact that the front label font and layout matches "Gen 2" yet the cert number…
