Re: Is it too late for a Darkside BST thread this week?
I still have these Ireland offerings. I would take $25 for all three, or make an offer on individual pieces. I'm going by my 2001 Krause for catalog numbers. 1950 Ireland Sixpence AU-53 (graded by our own lordmarcovan, which is where I got the coin) Krause #13a 1962 Florin UNC Krause #15a 1967 Half Crown UNC Krause #16a -

Re: Uncirculated or AU Morgan?
Looks unc, though you never know for sure. 1900-O VAM-15A, doubled stars with clash transfer. Not DMPL. 1900 DMPLs are with tons of die polish on the obverse (Phila), decent contrast (New Orleans), with exceptions -- pancake stikes and poor planchets (San Fran). Looks like you got a good bang on the cheek. Becaus eof the… -

Re: New VAMs from San Diego Coinarama
They (78-S VAM-17A) are tough. I must have a dozen gem VAM-17 and only a few 17A and in lower mint state grades. The 87 weak E is tough too. A couple in the group were ones I have been looking hard for: the 90-CC 9A break, the 86 VAM-23, and the 90 15A. The grade on the 87 3A (NGC 66) is pretty good and I got it in back of… -
Re: 1879-O Morgan (Heritage)
Yes it looks dip but when I autocorrected the dipping sauce doesn't look as bad. Common to find these in all TPG holders as this is a common practice. I don't see anything that would proclude it from a possible 65, it has the luster, strike and minimal hits for a 65. Of course it might look entirely different in hand. It…
