Of course. But they are on a vacation. An employee relayed that they will help fix "my problem" when they return, having not understood the issue. I'd rather sell to a well known BST dealer for less than I can get on ebay just for the peace of mind. Selling the gold on ebay should scare anyone with so many scammers such as empty box claims, regular GAE sent, etc. -

The Scammer's Guidebook says to build a reputation with low priced items and then swoop in for the kill once you've earned trust. So I'm gonna guess he's had hundreds of fifty-cent transactions here with board members, and you're his big whale of a catch. -

Who would actually know more about a subject then someone who makes money by doctoring coins. Who would know better the work of other coin doctors. It is the same issue as companies hiring computor scammers to help build defenses against such attacks. -

Paypal is not that great. You can get scammed using Paypal. And Paypal protects the scamming buyer. At least when a check really clears you are reasonably safe. The Paypal scammer can get you weeks or months after the transaction. Edited to correct spelling -

One thing about your buying from the "reputable dealer". If the dealer is big enough that trust is implied, then they can get away with telling you a month from now "oops,not available" whereas a small guy on ebay would be branded a scammer...just a thought. -

I just don't understand the agendas here. I mean it seems that more effort is spent in trying to dissuade collectors from collecting what they want than in trying to expose those in the hobby/industry who actually cause problems: doctors, scammers, fraudsters.
