Re: Stairway to Hell
Of course that .63 level is just relative to other fiat currencies which are falling as well. If they all fell at the same rate from here, but lost half of their value relative to say gold or oil, then the USDX would still be at .74. The number would look "solid" but reality would be quite different. It's sort of like… -
Re: Utley 0 for 5, Streak Ends at 35
I like it when records fall...it shows that today's players are every bit as good as the ones of years past, and then some. It gets people excited about the game, and gets the casual fan to pay more attention. Those die hard baseball fans will watch no matter what's happening, but for baseball to regain some traction, and… -

<< <i> << <i>Per above, I'm not sure you are actually reading my posts. Re: If you cant make up your mind between PCGS or NGC
WSM and FOM, As per other thread right now, I have to disagree.... To say that there is an overarching absolute grading bias based soley on the plastic is purely false. Furthermore, it shows a lack of experience with the real market and a lack of grading ability. Gloves on... but lets keep it clean. Again, not meant as a… -
Re: Question for Dealers/Ebay Sellers
You know, if I was the seller, and I KNEW the set to be unopened, I may be inclined to believe you. BUT! How would the seller know you aren't just trying to scam him/her (telling them you received the lower valued set, when in fact you didn't) and are just emailing them with a false claim? That's a tough call. -
Re: What's keeping this 67+ Morgan from MS68?
The grader had cataract surgery that morning, arrived at the office with a patch over one eye and a shade over the other eye. Her 3-martini lunch sent her mind spinning, caused her to head to fill with circling images of all the coins she had seen in the previous two days. To prevent herself from falling off her chair she… -

Why didn't this "Doily" slab command a larger premium?
This 1879-P Morgan in a PCGS MS65 "Doily" slab only realized $50 over CDN bid... Link While this 1879-S Morgan in a PCGS MS65 "Doily" slab realized almost DOUBLE CDN bid a month earlier... Link I'm not by any means a "Doily" holder expert, but I was expecting it to go for upwards of a grand. Judging by the ratio of the… -
Opinions: Are State Quarters a Good Investment
If you have been reading this forum lately you have watched Mitch and I debate whether statehood quarter prices are Falling ( my opinion ) or Soaring ( Mitch's opinion). I have pointed out that Pops are exploding and that prices have significantly retreated from their high water marks and are still declining. Mitch points…
