I still think it's fake - the 3 corners that still exist are way too sharp for that to have gone through a fire and God knows what else, and still have the corners be relatively sharp! Not the smartest scammer out there! -

I wouldn't even click on the link. There's all sorts of viruses and spyware that you can get from web pages; and you can bet that a scammer/phisher will not hesitate to use them. Keep your shields up... -

Yes, it's against the rules. But all the scammers and lowlifes like this guy know they dont enforce them so they do like this frequently. Just noticed he's got 3 cleaned coins in there... at least he's an honest lowlife -
another ebay email scam
Looks like the scammers are looking at large purchases and then going to seller feed backs to identify buyers. I got a account verify email saying ebay was looking at fraud large purchase and I should use the the email link to log onto paypal . yea right....................beware -

I have said it before on these large purchase threads and I will say it again, your Son needs to be careful. Craigslist is loaded with scammers. If he has any friends in law enforcement he should see if they can go with him. -

I got that recently (in the last month). I assumed it was the seller who wanted 'extra protection' as it was a BIN on a bulk bullion coin. It would maybe reduce the likelihood the buyer was a scammer gearing up to buy bunch and making a claim later. -

I know it's absolutely misleading...but if it doesn't specifically state "the coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive" I either stay away or ask the seller for clarification. A lot of good seller's just omit that by accident, but the scammers do it intentionally.
