Pieces as such were 'spirited' out of the US Mint under false pretenses. When they emerged in a California run state auction, the Treasury Department did not realize the significance of the contents of the unclaimed safety deposit box and it went up for auction. Everything about the sale became legal as did the error coins. -

A lot, the cards can move during shipping. When they are received and handled, sometimes when grabbing a stack of them, they tend to slip and fall all over the place. I have onne of these for my Archie Manning player set. It works great with one minor exception. When you close the door some of the cards tip forward against the glass, and when you open it, all of the cards fall forward - and out.
