FSH: ASE'S (Sold )
For sale as a lot a total of 3 American Silver Eagles. (1) 2011(S) Struck at San Francisco Mint NGC MS70 and (2) 2009 ASE in mint capsules. Problem free.. (apologies for the lousy pics)(Sold) The poor pics and lighting make it look as if the coins are cloudy .They are not. They are free from milkspots or anything of that… -

thanks, my wife is talking about put together a set of some kind of silver bullion.. maybe libertads, maybe britannias. She has decided she doesn't want to mess with ASE becuase of milkspotting. (She has overheard too many of my phone conversations about that) -

Better to pair them up, stacking the two and wrap them. End rollers aren't toned on both sides. Not advocating this, but if you are playing with widgets.... I did this for a couple milkspotted ASEs. Doesn't make me a coin doctor, because they aren't coins and I have no plans to sell them and certainly not as something they… -

PCGS, contrary to what many of the naysayers and dismal doogies say, tries to be fair. If you send them a reasonable receipt, then they will pay it. If you insure it for a reasonable amount, then that is what they may use (that's how they reimbursed me for a Kennedy proof I bought that turned in the holder...SAE type… -

Probably ~$1000+ I would say. Individually, they are likely to go for $50-$60 if they are not milkspotted nor heavily marked up. Maybe a tad more. Most people buying a roll of them would probably expect a little bit of a discount from what someone would pay for 20 of them individually. -

I took a quick look and most of mine are dated 2015 and 2016. After that the prices started to go up and I slowly stopped stacking. But all are clear - maybe the dealer (internet) I bought them from hand picked them? , never had an ASE with a milkspot from them either - raw coins, not slabs. -

I just did 2 that just had liberty painted on the front and the eagle on the back. It lifted right off in a sheet. One of them had a hideous milkspot on the reverse I wonder if they painted that one because it was ugly to begin with. It makes me wonder if I should leave the Neil Armstrong one I posted above alone -

I opened a Tonga proof set. In the holder the coins didn't have spots. I placed the coins in flips and then in the safe deposit box. In a month, they had milk spots. I was rather annoyed. I'm not saying this is the same thing that happened to your coin, but my experience has been that milkspots can appear pretty quickly. -

You dont sell many coins then? No matter what the plastic says all ms69s are not created equal and this is a legitimate question IMO. Unless your pics are the size of the my monitor it is a fair question. Just letting him know no coin is perfect but say there are no problems splotchy toning, milkspots etc would have been…
