Re: 1974S type 1 and type 2 mintmarks???
At this point I don't know. The only thing I do know is: 1. I have seen 14 1974S proof coins after discovering the difference. 5 were type 1, 9 were type 2. 2. Possible Matte Proof 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel?
For some reason this coin just looks 'off' to me. Extremely strong strike. Does anyone have matte proof diagnostics that could help? The edges do seem sharp.
