Re: THEORY: Card Grading SLOWS appreciation of value!
Very interesting post and right up my alley. Most Topps regular issues such as the 1952 Mantle will fall into your theory. However, certain issues are already at the point of scarcity that grading won't diminish this aspect. I don't own a Mantle, but if I wanted one I could probably find one with relative ease on Ebay or… -

Re: just depressing
I have been always suspicious of the greysheet and dealers who use it because it seems to be a thinly disguised form of price collusion. Sure there are variances from the greysheet when buying and selling (most always in the dealers favor) but the sheet is used as a 'guide'. Do away with the guide which also establishes a… -
Re: Calling on the submission experts - PCGS Collectors Club Services and Fees

Then there is the “rarities” and “ultra rarities” service; how do you know? What category does a half-cent or key half-dime fall into? Is there a list somewhere? How about a ’09 SVDB? Isn’t that a “rarity”? Can you submit one under the “regular” service? Wouldn’t these ’06 platinum coins be considered “ultra rarities”?… -

Re: about that central bank stimulus. . .
I'm waiting for Congress to be held to the same standards on insider trading and to have healthcare plans no different from the odious one that they jammed down taxpayer's throats under false pretenses with no public disclosure beforehand and a bogus supreme court ruling to make it stick. Is that too much to ask? -
Re: Best way to identify a dozen ancient specimens
The "best way" is to do what you've done, and post some pics on an Internet forum where there are people knowledgable about ancients. THe only critique I would offer is having too many coins in one thread risks some coins not getting the attention they deserve. If I answer coins 1, 4, 5 and 7, and someone else answers… -

Re: Where To Go With My Collection Now?
@M4Madness. I have a few suggestions of options for your type set. One thing worth mentioning is that the type change from no arrows, with arrows and back to no arrows happens during this period. You could add coins with and without arrows from the same year and denomination. At least with the dimes you could do both above…
