Re: Struck out
The professional graders at PCGS see a lot of coins and get very good at spotting coins that have been worked on by "experts". These coins are often sold raw in on line auctions or at smaller shows/flea markets where there are large numbers of collectors looking for "deals". They get a deal ... a bad deal. -
Re: Michael Vick indicted by federal grand jury in dogfighting probe
A great article here - > Link << <i>“We’re going to do what we always said we were going to do, which is rely on the facts,” Goodell said. “If there is some type of a plea agreement, then we will obviously take the time to understand what that plea is and we’ll see how it fits into our personal conduct (policy).”... Re: TSA agent steals Don Zimmer's jersey from widow.
As much as I hate to say something in favor of Thousands Standing Around, chances are the jersey was stolen out of her luggage by a rogue baggage handler for the airline she flew. Why does she think it was TSA? Was it from a carry-on bag? If so, then the search of the bag (and subsequent theft) would be on videotape as… -
Body bags and the learning process...

I just saw a thread where a first time submitter got some bad results and would like to share a recent experience of mine. I have been collecting for many years, but have been on this forum and submitting coins to PCGS for just over a year. I have probably had about 20 submissions to PCGS. Let me tell you I have learned… -
Re: Sportscard Project Question #2 - What's your best sports collecting discovery?

Nick -- Anaheim wasn't a store. It was more like a big flea market with a lot of guys with bad toupees near DisneyLand. I think I heard someone call it "The National?" The Southern California place was indeed in a shop but I don't remember the name of the town, but if this helps it's one of those Spanish sounding… -
Re: Complete & Utter Satisfaction
I lived in England at bthe time. I flew back and was at Shea for game #1. My wife was due with our second so I flew back to England after the game. I had a game 1/7 tix package. When the ball went thru Billy Buc's legs I knew they were done. I cancelled my fight reservations and now have three unused game 7 World Series… -

Re: The official 'Who should I start this week' thread.
Ok folks - I'll give you my "who should I start"? I have a 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex w/r, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 def league. My running backs are set (Jackson GB & Johnson TEN) and my receivers are set (Jackson PHIL & Marshall MIA). My tight end is Jason Witten and my kicker and defense are set too. But the QB and the flex are the… -
What This Is????
Something I picked up at a shop at a flea market. I know it's from Denmark-what's the mintage & metalic composition? The solid gold tone in the center makes it look brass or gold but I think CN? The colors are gold center turning to baby blue to yellow to purple. It's in an airtite in a card in a velvet display box.… -
